Albert Court Hotel has not given any reply to our intention for the rental of their shop. I wonder why they are taking so long to consider our case.

Sealan sms me today informing another party has called him with the intention of renting his shop as an travel agency.

I am very disappointed. After all the hassles, another party will soon be taking over Sealan's shop.

Who is to blame?

Furniture

Went to IMM with Leon just now.

Now, while typing this blog, I am in the train on my way back to Simei.

We saw a piece of 2 seater teakwood bench. Very simple design. Cost $199. I am considering 2 pcs and a side table. That will cost ard $600.

Shopping for shop furniture is not easy. Must be presentable and classy. Price plays a very important factor too!

If I were to strike 4D with $5000 today, I would no longer have to think so much about the price.

Conspiracy Syndicate

Received 2 Phone calls from US yesterday. They told me they are from a certain Committee and I am lucky enough to get chosen by them for the 15 million US grand prize!

Yes, very lucky indeed! To get selected and won a big big prize.

I played along with them. They asked me to transfer 10 Grand to their account as admin fees then they will remit 15 million to me within 2 weeks.

I turned the table round and asked them to transfer 5 Grand to my account and I will transfer 30 million to them within 1 week.

They put down the phone.

Haha...

Life is so funny. Humans can become so desperate as to cheat in such a High Tech manner.

Buddha must help them!

Pending

In life, I would say waiting for pending for an uncertain answer is the worst period of time.

I am now asked to wait for approval from Albert Court Hotel. They want to vet my products then they can say yes or no to my leasing of their shop at Albert Court Mall.

1st Feb is my expected takeover date. If they cannot give me an answer by coming Monday, I have to search for new alternative place.

Albert Court Hotel

Have not been blogging for a few days. Been pretty busy with searching for a shop front these few days.

International Plaza seems to have a too high rental for us. We have seen Albert Court Hotel Mall and we somehow like the place because of its peaceful ambience. The shop faces the courtyard. I like the environment. Rental is around $1250.

We are still negotiating with Far East Organization and hopefully they can offer us better terms.

Finally, I have a new auspicious name. I am now at ICA building waiting patiently for the collection of my new IC.

I hope this new name will bring good health, good luck and good fortune to my everyday life and my coming business.

I will have to spread this name to those who already knew me by my old name. I must also print this name on my new business card so that the effects of this name will prosper me, hehe... .

Sureemas

Sureemas is my long time friend. I knew her when I was working in MAN B&W many years ago. Calvin introduced her to me and since then, I called her for dinner whenever I have the time in Bangkok.

I did not go out with her after 2 days of her companionship on Thursday and Friday. I was bored by the activity. The food that she recommended was also horrible. We travelled by her car to a beach near Pattaya and we wasted 7 hours on the trip. We could not see nor enjoy anything for that trip.

On Sunday, she came with her Cousin, Not to sell us her range of Spa Products. We did not really like the products.

We went for sumptuous seafood near her ex office, Patco that night. Cheap and good but far!

By the way, we met with Kaysorn on Sunday afternoon to buy the coconut lamp. Sad to say, the lamps which we bought and carried back to Singapore has broken chips on the leaf. Yet, she had the cheek to sell us higher than her listed price.

Sad and disappointed to know such a distributor!

Embroidery Polo Shirt

This morning, Sureemas came at 10am and we went to Pratunam to buy Polo Shirt. Bought a dozen shirt at 1800 Baht and she managed to find a lady that do embroidery for us at 50 baht per polo.

I am very happy as I finally have my own company working Polo Shirt.

At evening, we have dinner at Yok Yor seafood restaurant. Cost 1500 baht. Delicious!

Sureemas is coming over at 10am tomolo. She will bring us to furniture exhibition tomolo morning.

I am grateful to this building.

This is the building that gave me my current condominium.

Yesterday, I went back to this building hoping to get a shop space.

The price ranges from S$1,500 to S$2,400.00

I like the shop which is costing S$2,400 but I know I cannot afford it in long run. It is big. Around 380 sqft.

May Buddha helps me!

Stubborn

Sometimes, I found myself to be very stubborn.

I hope to change this bad habit. Lem could have realised that but he always gave in to me. I felt bad but I just cannot control myself.

I hope Lem can forgive me on my stubborn attitude at times.

I think he will. He has been used to it, haha... .

Simei East Point Mall is charging me S$14 psf for the 194 sqf shop space.

Very expensive.

Have to consider hard, real hard!

Bombs

On the eve of new year, Bangkok had 9 bombs being activated at same time. It caused 3 deaths n 43 injuries. Bangkok had to cancel the countdown due to the sad incident.

Sureemas sms me on 1st Jan asking if I will still proceed to Bangkok on the 10th Jan. I said Yes as I m not afraid. I believe life and death are all controlled by Buddha. I only worry for Lem. I hope nothing will happen so that he can be safe during the trip.

I promise I will take care of him and make sure no harm comes to him.

Buddha will protect him.

Small Business

Have been getting very disappointed with my current Photo & Videography Business. Couples are bad, at least some. Some did not pay while others deferred payment.

Spoken to Lem today. I intend to borrow some money from Banks to help in my setting up of a Zen Shop.

Will do some research and budget estimation so that my new business can operates.

May Buddha helps me...

Feng Shui

Woke up at 5am today. Very excited to put up my five coins gourd.

Surprisingly, I had a surprise today! Cindy whom had been delaying her payment transferred balance $400 to me.

That is what I called Feng Shui.

卓鸿祥 vs 卓伟扬

Had a terrible shock 2 days ago. We had our Chinese name to be analysed by a name Specialist at East Point Mall. My current name is bad. I expected as much as my current name is just a name that I thought of on that fateful day. I did not get anyone to help me in suggesting a new name.

I dislike my old name. I had that when I was borned. My luck never good. My left eye was blinded and my relationship with my parents are very bad.

Both names are equally bad according to the Specialist. I have decided to change my name again.

I paid S$88.00 and they will inform me once the Master has selected a good name for me, perhaps in 3 weeks.

Hope my luck change for the better and I can live beyond 50 so that Lem will not be a lonely old man, hehe... .

Buddha will look after us, I believe.

Mee Rebus

Lem came with many fishes for my mini pond today. Very touched. He travelled to Clementi then came to Simei by MRT.

The fishes are cute and are still surviving at this point of time. Hehe...

After that, we left for Parkway Parade. Lem bought the coins with the gourd shape lucky charm. It costs S$198.00.

We tried a Hokkien Mee stall just opposite the Feng Shui Master Shop. It was a long wait. We waited approx. 30 mins. It was not fantastic. I wonder why people are willing to queue for such lousy food?

For 2nd round of food, we ate at Parkway Parade basement. There is a stall called Mee Rebus. They sell Mee Siam, Mee Rebus, Laksa etc at very cheap prices. I would say they serve in big portion.

I ordered Mee Rebus and Curry Chicken.

This is the first time I cannot finish my food. I cannot finish the big bowl of Mee Rebus. Lem also cannot finish his chicken curry.

Anyway, the stall is still highly recommended. Very delicious and suitable for those who are very very hungry!

Melville Lodge

I should say I was too free a few weeks ago. I placed an ad on hostelbookers trying to rent out my rooms to backpackers.

Surprisingly. a young couple actually booked my place for 2 nights. I thought no one will choose to stay at simei since this is a real out of the way place for travellers.

Sad to say, the room that was intended for them to stay was booked by a ShangHai Girl and I could only try my best to put them out one night in my own master room. I arranged for them to stay at Even Lim place which is located at Blk 28. Even is my competitor in short term accomodation rental but he still help me despite the facts I am his rival in business. Anyway, I am grateful to him.

Now, while typing this blog, I am lying on my massage bed. Today, I will be sleeping in the hall with Mei Mei.

Let's hope I can sleep peacefully.

Borat

Watched Borat with Lem last night at VivoCity.

GV Seat is still the best. Spacious and comfortable for "economy" class ticket.

Borat is a TV Reporter from a small village in Russia. The culture and believe is very different from modern society. Borat brought out many funny but ddep in thoughts issues in the film. Many of the scenes I supposed are secretly filmed as the angle and lightings are not that good. Nevertheless, it is still a good film.

I like the scene where Borat chanced upon a Church which is somthing similar to our "Superstar" Church in the Western Singapore. It is so funny especially when all of them started speaking in a "Bla Bla Bla" language. Not many laughed. Perhaps they belong to that Church and they dun think it is funny. To me, it is funny!

A film worth watching in Cinema!!!
